Nathaniel “Nate” Collins is a self-taught photographer spending over 40 years in the analog world before pivoting into the digital realm. His interest in the niche of alternative processing which included the use of “krappy” cameras, pyro film development, lithographic silver paper development, gum oil imaging and polaroid negative etching has allowed him to easily adapt to the mobile digital space.
Until his first minted nft in early 2022, he had not previously shown his work except to close family members, being more interested in the creative process than sharing the results. He became interested in mobile photography when the cameras on smartphones dramatically improved. His images are frequently edgy, dark, impressionistic, and minimal representing how he frequently sees the image differently than others.
He appreciates all genres of art and loves to learn by studying others’ images and creations. Through collecting art nfts he attempts to support digital artists in their quest for fulfillment through their art.
